Northland Material Handling Inc. (“Northlands”)

Northland Material Handling Inc. (Formerly Northland Sand & Gravel) was established in 1984 by Mr. James Elliot and Mr. Ernest Hauca, to accommodate a high demand for inert waste disposal in the Edmonton Area. Northland has an Alberta environment approval to operate a waste management facility in the Edmonton and surrounding area. This facility is located within Parkland County just past the Edmonton city limits on Highway 16A and 231 St. 

Northland Recycling Inc.

Northland Recycling Inc. was established in 2005 by Rick Caron, when it became one of the first permitted wood diversion facilities in the Edmonton area whereby wood is diverted from the landfill and used for biomass power generation. Over the past few years, Northland Recycling Inc. has added additional diversion initiatives for concrete, asphalt shingles and drywall. The recycling facility is located just past the Edmonton city limits on Highway 16A and 231 St

Northland Industrial Park

The Northland site is currently under a reclamantion phase. Over the next years the company intends to re-develop the site into an industrial park, which will include recreational facilities, a public recycling depot and a naturalized landscape with walking trails and picnic areas.
